A privately owned pub, which has recently been purchased is seeking a Head Chef to help build the kitchen team for its opening at the end of May. The updated kitchen of the property will have a team of 7 chef who you will lead ensuring punctual, quality service. The pub will offer all day dining and the menus will offer high end dining along with pub classics but as Head Chef you will have full autonomy on the menus. The dishes will be produced using fresh ingredients that are sourced locally where ever possible. This is an exciting opportunity for a head chef to make a name for themselves where the owners are committed to investment and expansion over the next few years. Alongside the menu planning and staff training you will be responsible for all the ordering, paperwork and GP.
A Head Chef who can show longevity working in a volume fresh food pub environment where you were cooking all dishes from scratch using high quality, fresh ingredients. The role needs a strong team leader who has a mature approach to training in the kitchen in order to get the best out of your team. All chefs should be fully aware of current hygiene legislation with experience of training others in this area and ensuring it is followed at all times.
