The Head Chef of a multi-outlet hotel is seeking a Commis Chef to work in the main kitchen catering for the restaurant, bar and function rooms. This is a high volume dining operation which can be extremely busy during peak service times and you will be assisting the talented team of 8 chefs. The hotel offers dining in the restaurant, bar, afternoon teas, and also has a busy banqueting and conference department especially popular for weddings. As Commis Chef you will be assisting the team to prepare for the busy service whilst also ensuring that you are working in a clean, tidy manner so are able to be organised when under pressure.
Previous experience working as a Commis Chef in a high volume fresh food kitchen environment is preferred but not essential as full on the job training will be given. You must be keen to learn, enthusiastic, have good communication skills and able to work with in a team.
Due to the location of this property it is essential that you have your own transport.
