A private school is recruiting for a Chef de Partie to assist in the catering provision for both daytime and boarding pupils. In this role you will be working with 6 chefs providing breakfasts, lunches and suppers for over 700 day pupils and 100 boarders. There is a seasonally rolling menu in place consisting of dishes made from fresh produce. In this position of chef de partie you will mainly work weekdays but there will be occasional evenings and weekends when functions are held at the school. During the academic year there is the opportunity to work overtime which is paid hourly additionally during school holidays weddings for up to 150 guests are catered for and this is paid over and above salary.
A Chef de Partie who has experience of cooking dishes from mainly fresh ingredients, in a busy environment. It is essential that you have an enhanced DBS and all relevant food safety and allergen training certificates. You must have good customer care skills to be able to communicate with the children and be computer literate.
Due to the location of this property it is essential that applications have access to their own transport.
