Not an average Chef or Cook position but a great chance to work and make an impact far beyond the kitchen as part of a secure training center Catering team. You will oversee and support the work of young offenders to prepare and cook quality, nutritional breakfast, lunch and evening meals for 80 residents. You will work 38 hours a week, day time hours only and shift patterns are in place being so that you get alternate weekends off.
Requirements:
The role requires a Chef or Cook to have a L2 NVQ or equivalent qualification, Level 2 Food Safety Certificate and be familiar with all current health, safety and hygiene related regulations for working in a kitchen. You must also have a stable background and be able to demonstrate competency working in an industrial kitchen environment. Successful chefs must pass the strict security clearance required, which includes the employer gaining a clear enhanced DBS for you.
