An excellent opportunity for a chef or cook who is looking for a work life balance, this role is day time shifts, a maximum of 40 hours per week over 5 days and every other weekend off. This position is for a chef/cook to work for a family run care home group, in one of their care homes that caters for between 20 to 30 residents at any one time. You will be providing nutritionally balanced and visually appealing meals whilst also catering for special dietary requirements. The menus which are all home cooked to classic recipes include hot breakfasts with cereals and fruit options, 3 course lunches and lighter evening meals along with homemade cakes and pastries for afternoon tea.
Requirements:
A Chef who has a a proven track record of working in fresh food kitchens, for a minimum of 2 years, is required to take on this position. A chef who has good communication skills, and a positive attitude and is willing to go the extra mile to not only provide meals for the residents but also cater for parties and birthdays etc… to make a difference.
