Sous Chef – CG2088 Full Time Permanent

A well established family pub company is seeking a Sous Chef to take on this role and ensure that current high standards and reputation of this busy gastro pub with rooms are retained. The kitchen of the property has a team of ten chefs who you will assist to lead ensuring punctual, quality service. The food is made with fresh ingredients, and the seasonally changing menus, which as Sous Chef you will have a strong influence on, offer British Classics and International dishes. Specials are also offered daily which gives you an opportunity to develop your own dishes in agreement with the Head Chef. Alongside the menu planning and staff training you will also assist in the ordering and completing kitchen paperwork.

Requirements:

A Sous Chef who can show longevity working in a similar fresh food pub environment where you were cooking all dishes from scratch using high quality, fresh ingredients. The role needs a strong leader who has a mature approach to training in the kitchen in order to get the best out of your team. All chefs should be aware of current hygiene legislation with experience of training others in this area and ensuring it is followed at all times.
