A traditional country village pub is seeking a Head Chef to take on this opportunity to shine in the role and ensure that current high standards and reputation are retained. The kitchen of the property has a team of four chefs who you will lead ensuring punctual, quality service. The food is made with natural, fresh ingredients that are sourced locally where possible. As well as traditional pub classics like popular steak and ale pie or fish and chips. As head chef you will have the opportunity to designed more refined dishes which balance flavour and texture to provide a culinary treat. To keep the menus interesting and seasonal they are changed every ten weeks. Alongside the menu planning and staff training you will be responsible for all the ordering, paperwork and GP.
A Head Chef who has been working in a similar fresh food pub environment where you were cooking all dishes from scratch using high quality, fresh ingredients. The role needs a strong team leader who has a mature approach to training in the kitchen in order to get the best out of your team. All chefs should be fully aware of current hygiene legislation with experience of training others in this area and ensuring it is followed at all times.
