A privately owned pub located in South Yorkshire is seeking to employ a Sous Chef
A country pub based in a village position is seeking a Sous Chef to work in the team of three in the kitchen.The pub is newly opening and will feature gastro pub style seasonal, fresh menus that incorporate plenty of Yorkshire produce into the dishes. In this role of Sous Chef you will be cooking for 60 covers for lunch and dinner with the expectation that you will be capable of running service times in the absence of the Head Chef. As this is a Sous Chef role you will be expected to be confident running all sections, keeping a tidy work space and assisting with the training of the junior members of the team.
It is important that all Sous Chefs applying for this role have been working in a property using all fresh food in their most recent position.The ability to work well within a small team with the knowledge to work across the sections is essential. You must be able to show longevity on your CV.
