A Sous Chef role is available at a country hotel located in the Hope Valley
A country hotel which is also a popular destination for dining is seeking a Sous Chef to join the team of six other chefs working in the kitchen of the property. In this role of Sous Chef you will be preparing dishes for the restaurant and bar area which offer a menu featuring pub classics as well as more modern mains and light bites so that it appeals to a wide range of customers. However, the venue is also a popular venue for banquets, special events and weddings which you will also provide the meals for. As this is a senior position in the kitchen you will also be expected to assist the Head Chef with the kitchen admin, costings and the leadership of the junior chefs.
An experienced Sous Chef or a talented Junior Sous Chef seeking to move forward with their career will be considered for this position. It is important that you are used to preparing dishes from all fresh ingredients in a high volume dining operation. A basic knowledge of kitchen management is essential for this role.
