Four star hotel offering award winning dining in Suffolk is recruiting for a Pastry Chef
The position of Pastry Chef is available at a four star hotel which is popular throughout the seasons but especially busy during the summer months. In this role of Pastry Chef you will be leading a Pastry Chef de Partie working on the pastry section of the kitchen. The position will see you catering for the hotel’s award winning restaurant that offers its guests modern British dining that focuses on using as much local, seasonal produce as possible. At the same time you will be creating the desserts for the conference and banqueting rooms and for the bar menus which includes afternoon teas. As a result this is a varied Pastry Chef role which will require you to manage a high volume section ensuring that you achieve the high standards that the Head Chef expects whilst being responsible for the organisation, management and control of the pastry department.
This role of Pastry Chef needs an experienced chef who has been running a high volume pastry section catering for multiple dining operations in a one or two AA Rosette awarded venue. It is important that you are experienced in managing others in the kitchen with the ability to coordinate a busy section at the same time. All round pastry skills are essential for this role as well as the creativity to bring new ideas to the menus.
