A country inn located in Monmouthshire is recruiting for a Sous Chef to work in the kitchen
A country inn with a popular restaurant is seeking a Sous Chef to work closely with the Head Chef of the property to create seasonal, modern British dishes. The kitchen have autonomy to create their menus which feature plenty of local suppliers and items from their own kitchen garden. The property serves an average of 30-70 covers in the restaurant but also serves snacks in the bar area, afternoon teas and can host private dining events in a separate room. As Sous Chef you will be expected to have strong all round cooking skills in the kitchen with the ability to take control of service and run the kitchen when required to do so.
A Sous Chef or an experienced Junior Sous Chef who has been working in a highly regarded, fresh food kitchen where you were cooking to high standards in a busy environment. A talented chef with all round cooking skills who is also a capable team leader with the ability to organise service times is needed to take on this role.
