A pub located in the Lichfield region of Staffordshire is recruiting for a strong Sous Chef
A fresh food pub that offers ‘on trend’ dishes is seeking a Sous Chef to bring strengths to all sections in the kitchen as well as assisting with the day to day running of the department. The pub offers food in both the restaurant area and the bar with the majority of dishes prepared onsite although some are created in the pub companies central production kitchen. As this is a Sous Chef role you will be expected to run the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence; assist with staff training; complete kitchen admin; ensure hygiene regulations are followed and maximise the financial performance of the kitchen wherever possible.
An experienced Sous Chef with a stable CV with plenty of work experience in high quality, fresh food pubs or restaurants is required to take on this role. An organised chef with all round cooking skills who is also a strong team leader with a good knowledge of kitchen management is required for this role.
