A large hotel in Nottingham is recruiting for a Senior Sous Chef role in the kitchen
Reporting to the Head Chef this role of Senior Sous Chef is based in a large hotel which has extensive facilities for its guests whilst offering a great working environment for its staff. The hotel offers ‘ a la carte’ dining in the restaurant, informal dining in the bar/ lounge areas and is also host to numerous conferences and events in the numerous C&B rooms. As Senior Sous Chef you will be assisting manage the running of the large kitchen team ensuring that the high volume kitchen operation runs as smoothly as possible the majority of the time. At the same time you will assist with ordering, stock management, rotas, cost control, implementing hygiene regulations and running service whilst also remaining ‘hands on’ in the kitchen.
A strong Sous Chef seeking the next step up in their career into a Senior Sous Chef position would be ideal for this position. Previous experience managing a large team within a high volume, multi-outlet venue is essential as you will need to hit the floor running.
