A Head Pastry Chef role is required to run the pastry section at a busy hotel in Cumbria
An award winning hotel with a large scale dining operation is seeking a strong Head Pastry Chef to take full control of the bus pastry section. In this role of Head Pastry Chef you will be managing one other full-time pastry chef whilst preparing the desserts for the fine dining restaurant; the pub style menus served in the lounges and the busy banqueting department which is very popular with weddings as well as creating breads and other pastry items. In this role you will have full input on the dessert menus; will be responsible for the ordering; controlling the costs; ensuring hygiene regulations are followed; training of your staff and the day to day management of the section.
It is essential that all Pastry Chefs applying for this role have minimum one AA Rosette experience in a multi-outlet hotels with busy dining operations. It is also important that all chefs are experienced managers used to kitchen management and leading others in the kitchen. A creative chef who can bring new ideas to the dessert menus for recipes and presentation styles would be ideal.
