A Head Pastry Chef role is available at a high quality hotel located in Hertfordshire
A Head Pastry Chef is required to manage the pastry kitchen of a large hotel that offers its guests top quality dining from a number of different outlets. As Head Pastry Chef you will be responsible for the team of four chefs working on the pastry section creating desserts for two separate restaurants; a large banqueting department and the busy afternoon tea trade at the property. The role will require you to manage the pastry department to ensure that its standards are equivalent to those in the hot kitchen whilst bringing fresh ideas to the award winning menus at the venue whilst also being responsible for the budget management of the department.
All Head Pastry Chefs applying for this position must have stable CVs which highlight experience in similar high quality, multi-outlet hotels accredited to at least two AA Rosette level but you must also have high volume banqueting experience. A strong team leader who wishes to remain hands on in the kitchen but is also an excellent team manger and can organise a busy kitchen is essential.
