A destination country inn located in far North Yorkshire is recruiting for a Head Chef
A privately owned country inn is seeking to appoint a Head Chef to take charge of the kitchen and manage the three other chefs working under you. The property is a destination dining venue with menus focusing on high quality, pub classics with dishes focusing on getting the best out of all ingredients and there is also an ever changing specials menu. The property operates the restaurant but is also host to small private dining events catering for special occasions. As Head Chef you will be expected to implement and maintain the high cooking standards achieving 1/2 AA Rosette level whilst also managing the kitchen operation to ensure that it is organised, runs smoothly and achieves the level of profit the owners expect.
All Head Chefs applying for this role should have been working to 1 or 2 AA Rosette standards in their most recent position. It is important you are focused on high quality, clean dining they are not seeking to create menus with ‘foams and squiggles’ but wish to focus on pub classics cooked well. The ability to manage to control a small team whilst ensuring that they all perform the standards expected is essential.
