A Head Chef is needed to take charge of the kitchen at a four star, city centre hotel in Herefordshire
An experienced Head Chef is required to manage the kitchen of a four star hotel which is popular with both business and leisure guests due to its central location. The General Manager is seeking a Head Chef who is fully ‘hands on’ in their approach to the kitchen, you will have a blank canvas to create your own menus for the restaurant, banqueting department and the bar. The property is also popular with coach parties but these are not served in the restaurant instead being situated in one of the banqueting rooms but they are a large part of your turnover so it is important that they are well looked after. The kitchen operates with a team of seven chefs who you will lead from the front ensuring all team members can work to the standards expected and they are always organised and fully prepared for service times.
The role needs a knowledgeable Head Chef who has been working in four star hotels with a number of dining options and banqueting in their most recent roles. A strong manager who can get the best from their team whilst organising and controlling a busy kitchen is required. Previous experience of achieving all financial targets in your previous roles is needed for this position.
