A country pub located in the South Lakes is recruiting for a Head Chef to put the pub on the map
A country pub with rooms that is reopening in the near future following a large refurbishment project is seeking a Head Chef with a strong pedigree to be responsible for the relaunch of the kitchen. The pub will be offering all day dining with seating in the restaurant and the bar area with menus featuring the pub classics and modern British dishes. There will also be a private dining room for special events to take place at the property. As Head Chef you will lead the team of chefs in the kitchen to ensure that they are all trained to work to the high standards that you put into place whilst also taking on the responsibility for the kitchen management; financial performance of the kitchen and communicating with the other managers to ensure that the pub moves in the direction planned by the owners.
The role needs an experienced Head Chef who has been working in similar upmarket, fresh food pubs with a busy kitchen. All chefs need to be strong leaders who are capable of implementing new kitchen procedures and delivering the high standards that the owners expect. A talented chef who is also strong on paperwork and financial management is needed for this role.
