A Head Chef role is available at a high-quality country house hotel located in Cumbria
A Head Chef is required to manage the kitchen in a small boutique hotel that offers its guests top quality dining in its 30-cover restaurant. As Head Chef you will need to communicate closely with the owners of the property but will have full autonomy on the menus. The role will require you to prepare and cook a four-course evening meal, using fresh seasonal produce, for guests of the hotel and any bookings for the day. The hotel restaurant is only open in the evenings, and the maximum number of covers catered for is 30, as head chef you will work straight shifts, mainly on your own, and usual shifts will be 1 pm to 9.30 pm. You will be expected to maintain high standards and great reviews whilst also being responsible for the budget management of the department.
All Head Chefs applying for this position must have stable CVs which highlight experience in similar high quality, establishments ideally accredited to at least one AA Rosette level but you must also be able to work alone. A strong self-motivated chef that is happy to interact with hotel guests and be flexible with their menus to cater for individual needs.
